I love natural skin care, and I love experimenting making my own products. Any time I can reduce the toxic and chemical impact on my body, I’m on board.
Since your skin is the largest organ in the body, it is important to be mindful of the products you use. It absorbs 60% of what you put on, whether that’s lotions, body washes, makeup or perfumes. The less toxic load your body has, the more efficiently it will work.

I love using facial toners after washing. It gives that extra clean feeling and prepares your skin for lotions, serums and oils. This recipe is super simple, needs only a few ingredients, and is great for toning, soothing and balancing the skin.
Lavender Facial Toning Mist
6 drops lavender essential oil
4 drops lemon essential oil
1 drop clary sage essential oil
1 drop chamomile essential oil
2 ounces distilled or purified water
Combine all ingredients in a glass bottle, with or without a sprayer. Shake vigorously before using. Spray directly on your skin or put it on a cotton pad and wipe all over the face.
If your skin tends to be on the dry side, add a few drops of jojoba, grapeseed, or your favorite facial oil.
