Oj & Greens Juice


I’m always on the hunt for good anti-inflammatory recipes to help in my fight against chronic inflammation associated with Lyme disease. This drink is packed full of anti-inflammatory goodness and tons of antioxidants like beta-carotene (great for our eyes!) and vitamin c. It will help with achy joints and will boost your immune system to help fight off infection.


2 oranges

1 carrot

1 inch fresh ginger (peel of outside skin)

1 inch fresh turmeric (or 1/4 tsp turmeric powder)

1/2 lemon peeled

4 leaves romaine lettuce or 1 cup of kale

Squeeze the juice out of the oranges into a blender and then add remaining ingredients. Blend it all together and serve over ice!

    1. I do that for a couple reasons. I try to switch my greens so that I don’t get too many oxalates from spinach which can cause kidney stones. Plus it is also a milder greens flavor for those who don’t like the juice to taste too green. ūüôā
